HK stocks suspend morning trading as Typhoon Signal No. 8 remains in effect.

The Hong Kong Observatory has issued a No. 8 Typhoon Signal and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has suspended trading for the morning session on September 6. The No. 8 Typhoon Signal is expected to remain in effect until at least 12:00 noon on September 6, and the morning trading session for securities and derivatives products on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will be canceled.

If the No. 8 Typhoon Signal remains in effect after 12:00 noon on September 6, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will suspend trading for the entire day.
